We are thrilled to announce that our second full scale production will be 9 to 5: the Musical!
Based on the film of the same name, this uplifting show features music and lyrics by country icon and star of the original movie, Dolly Parton. The score includes hits such as “9 to 5” and ”Backwards Barbie”, as well as original songs written specifically for the show.
Set in the late 70s, 9 to 5 tells the story of three office workers – Judy, Violet, and Doralee – all of whom feel victimised by their “sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical” boss, Mr Hart – and how they learn to “Shine Like The Sun”.
We will be performing 19th-21st February in Guildford. Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday and Sunday at The Arts Centre Guildford (GU1 2RE) and will commence in September.
Click below to pay your show fee to take part. The show fee is £30 per month (for 5 months) or £24 per month if you are a student. This can be paid upfront or in monthly instalments. The show fee is there to cover the costs of putting on the show including venue, licensing, costumes, set, mics and rehearsal space.
